Oaky Creek Joint Venture

In December 2005, the AER received an application for exemption from the requirement to register as a network service provider from the Oaky Creek Joint Venture (OC Joint Venture) comprising:

• Xstrata Coal Queensland Pty Ltd (ABN 69 098 156 702)
• Sumisho Coal Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 30 061 524 249)
• Itochu Coal Resources Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 60 072 596 733)
• ICRA OC Pty Ltd (ABN 41 106 260 593).

The OC Joint Venture owns the Oaky Creek Network Service assets which are operated by Oaky Creek Coal Pty Ltd (OCC).  OCC has registered with AEMO as a Network Service Provider.  In accordance with clause 2.9.3 of the National Electricity Rules, OCC has also registered with AEMO as an intermediary for the OC Joint Venture.
