DNSP annual information reporting
The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has released an Issues Paper on the proposed annual information reporting requirements for distribution network service providers (DNSPs). The paper discusses the proposed annual reporting requirements (including information templates) for DNSPs, and related issues.
The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has published its final decisions on regulatory guidelines for electricity distribution networks. The guidelines' purpose is to assist electricity distribution businesses and their customers to understand the AER's approach to the regulation of electricity distribution businesses under the National Electricity Rules (the NER). The guidelines, first issued for public comment on 1 April 2008, are required under the NER.

From 1 July 2010, the AER is required to apply certain provisions of chapter 3 of ESCOSA's electricity distribution code and the associated guideline 13 (under derogation 9.28.3).
The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) is undertaking a review of the Distribution Ring Fencing Guidelines under clause 6.17.2 of the National Electricity Rules. Currently, there is not a single set of nationally consistent ring-fencing guidelines that apply to Distribution Network Service Providers in all participating jurisdictions. The purpose of this Discussion Paper is to seek views on whether the AER should develop a nationally consistent set of Distribution Ring-Fencing Guidelines.
