National transmission planning arrangements (September 2007)

In July 2007 the Ministerial Council on Energy directed the Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC) to develop a detailed implementation plan for the creation a national transmission planning function and establishing enhanced national transmission planning arrangements. This review commenced in August 2007 and follows from the Council of Australian Governments' response to recommendations made by the Energy Reform Implementation Group (ERIG) in January 2007.

The AER has made the following submissions to the AEMC as part of its consultation processes.
