The AER is preparing to undertake distribution determinations for the Queensland electricity distribution network service providers, Energex and Ergon Energy. The AER’s distribution determinations will cover the period from 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2015. This notice is intended to inform the market of the timing of various processes.
The AER received an application from Moranbah North Coal Mine NSP in which it requested that the AER decide against classifying its distribution service under clause 6.2.1(a) of the National Electricity Rules (NER). The AER released its draft decision on Moranbah North Coal Mine NSP’s application in August 2008 and invited submissions from interested parties. No submissions were received. The AER’s final decision, released in September 2008, is not to classify the distribution service provided by Moranbah North Coal Mine NSP and consequently its distribution service will not be regulated under chapter 6 of the NER.
