NSW distribution network service providers proposals (2 June 2008)
Ausgrid (EnergyAustralia,) Endeavour Energy (Integral Energy) and Essentail Energy (Country Energy's) proposals
The AER is required under the transitional provisions within Chapter 11 of the National Electricity Rules (the transitional chapter 6 rules) to make distribution determinations for Ausgrid (EnergyAustralia), Endeavour Energy (Integral Energy) and Essential Energy (Country Energy) (the NSW DNSPs) in relation to the New South Wales electricity distribution network.
On 2 June 2008, the NSW DNSPs submitted their regulatory proposals to the AER.
The AER conducted the preliminary examination of each of the proposals required under clause 6.9.1 in the transitional chapter 6 rules and found that each proposal substantially complies with the requirements of the relevant provisions of the NER.

The AER’s proposed negotiable component criteria and negotiated distribution service criteria
Under clause 6.12.1 (16A) of the transitional chapter 6 rules, the AER draft distribution determinations must set out the negotiable component criteria for any negotiable components of direct control services for each NSW DNSP.
Under clause 6.12.1(16) of the transitional chapter 6 rules, the AER draft distribution determination must set out the Negotiated Distribution Service Criteria for Ausgrid (EnergyAustralia’s) negotiated distribution services.
Interested parties were invited to provide written submissions to the AER on the NSW DNSPs’ proposals, the AER’s proposed negotiable component criteria for each NSW DNSP and the proposed negotiated distribution service criteria for Ausgrid (EnergyAustralia). Submissions closed Friday, 8 August 2008.
Public forum
The AER held a public forum on the proposals submitted by the NSW DNSPs on Wednesday, 30 July 2008 in Sydney.
