Regulatory proposals (30 June 2009)

Energex’s and Ergon Energy's regulatory proposals

The AER is required under chapter 6 of the National Electricity Rules (the chapter 6 rules) to make a distribution determination for the Queensland electricity distribution network service providers (Energex and Ergon Energy) in relation to their respective electricity distribution services.

On 30 June 2009 Energex and Ergon Energy submitted regulatory proposals together with supporting information to the AER. The AER’s preliminary examination of the regulatory proposals found that each proposal sufficiently complies with the requirements of the relevant provisions of the chapter 6 rules.

Submissions

Interested parties were invited to make written submissions to the AER commenting on Energex’s and Ergon Energy’s regulatory proposals. Submissions closed on 28 August 2009.

Public forum

The AER hosted a public forum on the regulatory proposals submitted by Energex and Ergon Energy on 3 August 2009. The public forum provided an opportunity for each business to explain its regulatory proposal.
