Market notice and consultation paper - Matters relevant to the framework and approach for ACT and NSW DNSPs 2014–19 distribution determinations

The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has released a market notice and consultation paper on matters relevant to the framework and approach for the ACT and NSW electricity distribution network service providers (DNSPs) 2014–19 distribution determinations.

The market notice outlines that the AER is preparing to receive regulatory proposals from the ACT and NSW electricity DNSPs. The ACT DNSP is ActewAGL. The NSW DNSPs are Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy. The market notice informs interested parties about the AER’s consultation for the framework and approach process to be undertaken prior to receiving the DNSPs’ regulatory proposals The market notice is available at the AER website.

The AER’s consultation paper outlines issues around the classification of electricity distribution services and is available at the AER website.

Submissions

Interested parties may lodge submissions to the AER’s consultation paper. Submissions need to be received by the AER no later than Friday 17 February 2012.

To facilitate an informed, transparent and robust consultation process, the AER prefers that all submissions be in an electronic format and publicly available. Accordingly, submissions will be treated as public documents and posted on the AER’s website, www.aer.gov.au, except and unless prior arrangements are made with the AER to treat the submission, or portions of it, as confidential.
