Electricity pricing proposals
The electricity DNSPs are required to submit to the AER an annual pricing proposal which outlines proposed prices to take effect from the commencement of the regulatory year of the regulatory control period.
In accordance with clause 6.18.2(c) of the National Electricity Rules (NER), the AER is required to publish the DNSPs’ pricing proposals upon their receipt. The NER require the AER to approve the proposals if it is satisfied they comply with rule requirements and any applicable distribution determination, and if all forecasts associated with the proposals are reasonable.
The DNSPs are required to maintain pricing information in relation to approved pricing proposals on their websites.
2013-14 electricity pricing proposals
We are currently assessing the annual electricity pricing proposals for 2013-14 received from all non-Victorian electricity DNSPs. We anticipate approving the proposals from Aurora Energy, Endeavour Energy, ActweAGL, Essential Energy, and Energex in late May 2013. The proposals for Ausgrid, Ergon and SA Power Networks are expected to be approved in mid-June 2013.
Gas annual tariff variations
The gas distribution and transmission NSPs are required to submit to the AER an annual tariff proposal to meet the requirements of the individual business' access arrangement. The detailed timing and procedure on the tariff variation is contained within each access agreement.
The AER will approve and publish the tariff report if it is satisfied that the proposed reference tariff variations comply with rule requirements and any applicable access arrangement.
2013-14 annual tariff variations
