Overview
On 16 August 2019, we commenced a review of the current electricity distribution ring-fencing guideline. The objectives of this review are to update the ring-fencing guideline to clarify some obligations and to make compliance less administratively complex.
On 20 November 2020 we published an issues paper. Submissions for this paper are now closed and available to view.
Workshops
On 26 February 2021 1-3 PM and 3 March 2021 3-5 PM stakeholders are invited to attend a virtual discussion. Areas that we would like to explore further include the situations where a DNSP would provide the full SAPS system and storage devices.

Background
On 17 October 2017, we published the final amended Ring-fencing Guideline (Guideline) and Explanatory Statement.
