Letter to retailers: New data reporting requirements relating to COVID-19

On 27 March 2020 we published our Statement of Expectations to make clear our priorities and expectations of businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. We also ran a series of teleconferences with retailers to clarify our expectations in relation to the Statement of Expectations, and to answer questions from retailers.

On 17 April 2020 AER Chair Clare Savage wrote to retailers seeking additional data on a voluntary basis to enable us to act quickly in the interests of energy consumers.

We have been working with and will continue to work with the Essential Services Commission of Victoria, who are seeking similar information.
