Network and pipeline performance
The AER publishes a series of performance reports on electricity networks and gas pipeline service providers to inform wider members of the community on the usefulness and efficiency of the network service providers’ spending decisions. This AER makes these reports publicly available as a means of increasing the transparency and accountability of the electricity networks and gas pipeline service providers’ actions.
Networks
As part of its responsibilities under the National Electricity Law and the National Electricity Rules, the AER publishes network performance reports about the operational and financial performance of the electricity businesses that the AER regulates. These reports also include information on the services provided by electricity businesses and the cost of those services.
Pipelines
As part of its responsibilities under the National Gas Law and the National Gas Rules, the AER publishes annual compliance reports received from service providers of covered transmission and distribution pipelines. These reports are received from the service providers on an annual basis under the Annual Compliance Order. They aim to provide information to the AER which demonstrate that the service providers have fulfilled certain ring fencing obligations under the NGL and NGR.
