On 28 April 2022, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) accepted an application from Australian Unity Retirement Living Services Limited (Australian Unity) to cancel (repeal) its individual exemption for the sale of electricity at Lifestyle Manor Bondi, 24-32 Flood Street, Bondi NSW. Australian Unity requests the cancellation of exemption on the grounds that it no longer owns or operates Lifestyle Manor Bondi and does not sell electricity at the site. Since 14 February 2022, CHC LMB Operations Pty Ltd has assumed this role for the site.

Following the process set out in section 9.1 of the AER Exempt Selling Guideline, we are now seeking submissions from interested stakeholders on Australian Unity's application to cancel the exemption by 27 May 2022.

On 16 June 2017, the AER approved an application from Australian Unity for an individual exemption from the requirement to hold a retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law to sell energy at 24-32 Flood Street, Bondi NSW.

On 7 April 2017, the AER accepted the application from Australian Unity.

Submissions on Australian Unity's application closed 11 May 2017. No submissions were received.

Variation of conditions 2021

On 20 July 2021 the AER proposed to vary the conditions of Australian Unity's exemption. Submissions from interested stakeholders on the variation closed 13 August 2021. No submissions were received.

On 12 October 2021 the AER varied Australian Unity's exemption conditions to include a new condition.
