AER invites submissions on review of transmission benchmarking

The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has published an annual benchmarking report that examines the relative efficiency and productivity of the transmission electricity network service providers.

Our economic benchmarking techniques were originally developed in 2013 and 2014. As part of our ongoing improvement to economic benchmarking, we are refining elements of the benchmarking methodology and data in consultation with industry and other interested parties.

Our first step of this review is to seek written submissions on our transmission benchmarking issues paper. This issues paper summarises the key issues we are examining and ask questions for input from interested parties.
