AER releases new billing compliance checks for energy retailers

The AER has released three compliance checks setting out the obligations under the National Energy Retail Rules on retailers when billing its customers. Poor billing practices significantly impact on customer confidence with their energy service. The compliance checks provide information on the required content on an energy bill; resolving customer complaints and processes for dealing with incorrect charges.
