AER - Letter to Ausgrid - request for extension - metering competition cost pass through application - 3 May 2016

The AER has granted an extension to Ausgrid under clause 6.6.1(k) of the National Electricity Rules, to allow the pass through application associated with the Expanding Competition in Metering and Related Services Rule Change to be submitted 90 business days after 1 December 2017. The AER considered there was sufficient difficulty in assessing or quantifying the effect of the relevant pass through events within the normal 90 business day period.

The granting of this extension has no implications for the AER's assessment of the merits of any pass through application when it is lodged.
