AER letter to ElectraNet - Request for extension of time to submit cost pass through application - 16 May 2019

The AER has granted an extension to ElectraNet under clause 6A.7.3(k) of the National Electricity Rules, to allow a pass through application associated with an inertia shortfall event to be submitted 90 business days after 21 December 2018. The AER considered there was sufficient difficulty in assessing or quantifying the effect of the relevant pass through events within the normal 90 business day period.

The granting of this extension has no implications for the AER’s assessment of the merits of any pass through application when it is lodged.
