On 31 May 2021, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved a gas retailer authorisation application from Powershop Australia Pty Ltd (Powershop) under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law). Powershop is now authorised to retail gas as and when the Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
