APLNG Mainline and Narrows Crossing was granted a Category 1 and Category 2 non-scheme pipeline exemption on 26 February 2018.
Gas pipeline regulation reforms to the National Gas Law and National Gas Rules were proclaimed in March 2023. APLNG Mainline and Narrows Crossing's Category 1 and Category 2 exemption under Part 23 was taken to be a Category 1 exemption under Part 10 as it is a no third-party access pipeline.
