GLNG Lateral Pipeline (Roma) was originally granted 5 year Category 1 and Category 2 non-scheme pipeline exemptions under Part 23 on 26 February 2018. On 30 November 2022, these exemptions were extended until 26 February 2028.
Gas pipeline regulation reforms to the National Gas Law and National Gas Rules were proclaimed in March 2023. GLNG Lateral Pipeline (Roma)'s Category 2 exemption under Part 23 was taken to be a Category 1 exemption under Part 10 as it is a no third-party access pipeline.
