The Registrant’s exemption from the requirement to register as a network service provider and the operation of Chapter 5 of the NER has now come into effect. The exemption was granted under clause 2.5.1 of the NER in accordance with the AER’s Network Exemptions Guideline and is subject to a number of conditions.

The exemption applies to energy sales to residential customers. It requires exemption holders to join their state or territory energy ombudsman scheme.
Change of registered business
On 29 July 2022, Stockland Birtinya Retirement Village Pty Limited’s legal name changed to Birtinya Retirement Living Pty Limited.
The Marden Energy Pty Ltd/ ABN 99 076 010 583 registered as an additional registrant to this exemption. This exemption as it applies to Marden Energy Pty Ltd takes effect from 29 July 2022.
The Levande Pty Ltd / ABN 80 087 648 691 registered as an additional registrant to this exemption. This exemption as it applies to Levande Pty Ltd takes effect from 29 July 2022.
