We are reviewing our compliance procedures and guidelines. Submissions on the draft Guidelines are invited from interested stakeholders by 19 April 2024.

The AER Compliance Procedures and Guidelines provide guidance and information to service providers about their legislative and reporting requirements.

We've conducted a form of regulation review of the South West Queensland Pipeline, which is owned and operated by APA Group.

We published our Wholesale Market Monitoring and Reporting Guideline on 5 November 2024.

The Rate of Return Instrument (the Instrument) sets out the approach by which we will estimate the rate of return, and comprises the return on debt and the return on equity, as well as the value of imputation credits. We publish a new Instrument every 4 years that will bind all regulatory determinations in the subsequent 4 years.

The AER has conducted a review of facility operator compliance with the rules relating to standard Operational Transportation Service Agreements (OTSAs).

The rate of return annual updates provide stakeholders with rate of return data, particularly time series market data showing changes since the 2018 Instrument.

The Annual Compliance Order (ACO) is the mechanism with which the AER has previously monitored the compliance of service providers with these obligations. The new ACO replaces the previous ACO, which was in place from 2008 to 2022.
