On 1 October 2020, we published our draft position on our review of the regulatory treatment of inflation.
We have also published an updated version of the simulator model which includes modelling of the proposed draft position and updated alternative framework scenarios.
On 21 October 2020, the AER hosted a stakeholder forum to discuss our draft position.
We invited interested parties to make submissions on our draft position on the treatment of inflation. Submissions closed on 6 November 2020.
The AER released its final position paper on the treatment of inflation in the regulatory framework on 17 December 2020. The final position paper outlines how inflation will be treated in our decisions for regulated electricity and gas networks.
Following the AER's final position paper the Consumer Reference Group released a bulletin for stakeholders regarding the position.
