AC 291/10

The AER has received pricing proposals from ActewAGL and the NSW distribution network service providers (DNSPs), Country Energy, Energy Australia and Integral Energy, for the regulatory year 2010–11.

The AER is required to approve these pricing proposals if it is satisfied that they comply with the rules relating to distribution pricing and the distribution determination, and all associated forecasts are reasonable.

Clauses 6.18.2(c) of the transitional chapter 6 rules require the AER to publish the pricing proposals. The proposals are available on the AER’s website.

The distribution pricing rules applicable to the ACT/NSW DNSPs are set out in Part I of the transitional chapter 6 rules in appendix 1 of chapter 11 of the National Electricity Rules (NER). The NER do not require the AER to follow the distribution consultation procedures in assessing the proposals. The AER is scheduled to make its determination on the proposals in early June.
