On May 22 2026, Ergon Energy and Energex submitted requests to the AER to amend their tariff structure statements to remove the following optional tariffs they had planned to introduce during the 2025-30 regulatory control period:
- three-part demand tariffs for residential and small business customers
- flexible load tariffs for residential and small business customers.
We will make a decision to approve or refuse these requests for amendments by 28 February 2027, in line with requirements of the National Electricity Rules, cl. 6.18.1B.
