We have today commenced consultation on Marinus Link’s updated Stage 1 Part B (construction costs) revenue proposal following additional information provided by Marinus Link.

Marinus Link’s revised proposal contained redactions on forecast expenditure for the balance of works, support activities and risk allowance due to the market sensitivities associated with ongoing negotiations in relation to the balance of works.

As Marinus Link’s forecast expenditure is no longer subject to confidentiality claims, Marinus Link have confirmed these redactions no longer apply and have drafted an attachment that highlights updates to forecast expenditure since publication of the revised proposal on 11 August 2025.

We consider it important that stakeholders have the opportunity to provide feedback on the updated information prior to our supplementary draft decision and are seeking submissions on the updated revenue proposal.

We will publish the supplementary draft decision for consultation in late-November 2025 and expect to release the final decision on 6 February 2026.

Invitation for submissions

Interested stakeholders are invited to send submissions to inform our supplementary draft decision by 7 November 2025. Submissions and requests to make a submission via alternative methods should be sent to marinuslink2025ataer [dot] gov [dot] au (marinuslink2025[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au)
