The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has published the Framework and Approach for Queensland electricity transmission business Powerlink. The Framework and Approach sets out our approach to key elements of the 2027–32 revenue determination including:
- Which incentive schemes will apply, for example, to service quality, improvements in network reliability or capital and operating expenditure.
- Our approach to setting efficient expenditure allowances and the establishment of the opening regulatory asset base.
Framework and Approach papers are the first step in our process to determine efficient prices for transmission services for Powerlink, before Powerlink submits its revenue proposal for the 2027–32 period.
Powerlink will submit its 2027–32 regulatory proposal to the AER by 31 January 2026.
