On 14 December 2017, Condamine to Braemar Pipeline was originally granted a 5 year Category 2 non-scheme pipeline exemption under Part 23 of the NGR. On 30 November 2022, this exemption was extended until 13 December 2027.
Gas pipeline regulation reforms to the National Gas Law and National Gas Rules were proclaimed in March 2023. Condamine to Braemar Pipeline's Category 2 exemption under Part 23 was taken to be a Category 2 exemption under Part 10 as it is a single user pipeline.
