AER - Letter to TasNetworks - Request for extension of time to submit cost pass through application - 20 January 2020

The AER has granted an extension to TasNetworks under clause 6A.7.3(k) of the National Electricity Rules, to allow a pass through application associated with an inertia and fault level shortfall event in Tasmania to be submitted by 30 June 2020. The AER considered there was sufficient difficulty in assessing or quantifying the effect of the relevant pass through events within the normal 90 business day period.

The granting of this extension has no implications for the AER’s assessment of the merits of any pass through application when it is lodged.
