AER - Response to Essential Energy on Better Resets Handbook EOI - 15 March 2022

Expressions of interest (EOIs) were sought for the early signal pathway from network businesses with regulatory proposals due to be submitted to the AER in January 2023. EOIs were to address the matters set out in section 2.2.4.1 of the Handbook. EOIs closed 28 January 2022.

On 15 March 2022, the AER provided a response to Essential Energy in relation to its EOI.

New South Wales-based businesses Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy will be the first network businesses to follow the AER's early signal pathway for revenue determinations for the 2024-29 regulatory period.
