AER - Decision - Distribution ring-fencing class waiver for batteries funded under the Community Batteries for Household Solar Program - February 2023

On 3 February 2023 the AER published a final decision to grant a class waiver that would enable DNSPs to lease battery capacity to third parties for batteries funded under the Commonwealth Government's Community Batteries for Household Solar Program, subject to strict controls and criteria. The AER also published a guidance note which contains more information on the application of this waiver.
