AER Determination - ElectraNet - 2022-23 insurance event cost pass through - March 2023

On 30 March 2023, the AER released its decision on ElectraNet’s 2022–23 insurance cost pass through application. ElectraNet’s application sought to recover incremental revenue of $5.32 million in relation to an increase in insurance costs incurred in the 2021–22 financial year.

The AER determined that ElectraNet’s application satisfied the definition of an insurance event and positive change event under the National Electricity Rules. The AER approved a positive pass-through amount of $5.32 million to be recovered from transmission network users in 2023–24.
