CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy cost allocation methods (CAMs) govern the manner in which the distributors allocate costs to the distribution services they provide. The allocation of costs between the services is required to accurately represent the costs incurred in providing those services. This prevents cross-subsidisation between the distribution and other services the distributors provide. The updated CAMs were approved by the AER in October 2020, and are effective from 1 July 2021.
