On 25 October 2016 the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) accepted an application from Ultium Energy Pty Ltd for an electricity retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law. As this application was withdrawn prior to approval due to a material change in Ultium Energy Pty Ltd's directorship, the AER is no longer accepting submissions from interested stakeholders.

Ultium Energy Pty Ltd has reapplied for an electricity retailer authorisation.
