On 31 July 2020, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved a gas retailer authorisation application from Energy Locals Pty Ltd (Energy Locals) under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law). Energy Locals is now authorised to retail electricity as and when the Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
