AER Consultation Paper - Origin RoLR Cost Recovery Applications

On 25 March 2024, we opened consultation on the cost recovery applications from Origin Energy for six Retailer of Last Resort (RoLR) events between 24 May 2022 and 1 September 2022, through which it took on a combined 12,749 electricity customers as a designated RoLR. 

This has been the first time the AER has received a cost recovery application following a RoLR event, as part of administering the RoLR framework, so consultation with key stakeholders to help inform our decision-making was a critical part of this process. 

Invitation for submissions

The AER invited interested stakeholders to make written submissions in response to the specific questions or matters raised in this consultation paper, or any other matter they considered relevant to the consideration of Origin’s six RoLR cost recovery applications.

The consultation period ended on 26 April 2024 and two submissions were received.
