Access arrangement 2026-31
AGN owns and operates the gas distribution network in South Australia.
On 28 November 2025, we published our draft decision for the AGN's 2026−31 access arrangement proposal.
Interested stakeholders are invited to make a submission on both our draft decision and AGN’s revised proposal (due 14 January 2026). Submissions will close on Friday, 13 February 2026 and can be emailed to aergasresets2026-31
aer [dot] gov [dot] au (aergasresets2026-31[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au).
On Monday, 8 December 2025 we will also hold a public forum on our draft decisions for the 2026−31 gas access arrangements (AGN, Evoenergy and the Amadeus Gas Pipeline).
Stakeholders interested in attending our public forum can register through Eventbrite
Previous milestones - AGN's proposal
On 1 July 2025, we received a gas access arrangement proposal from AGN for its gas distribution network for the period 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2031.
Stakeholder submissions on AGN (SA)'s proposal closed on 15 August 2025 and are available on our website.
On Tuesday, 16 September 2025 at 10-11 am (ACST) we hosted an online public forum for AGN (SA) and the combined presentation slides are now available.
Background
A regulated network business must periodically apply to us to determine the maximum allowed revenue it can recover from consumers for using its network. In assessing these proposals, it is our role to ensure that consumers pay no more than is necessary for an energy system that delivers safe, reliable, secure energy that contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
