On Friday 17 October 2025, the AER accepted an application from AMP Capital Investors Ltd to cancel the individual exemption it was granted on 8 September 2017 for the sale of electricity at Macquarie Shopping Centre. AMP Capital Investors Ltd requested the cancellation of the exemption on the grounds that it no longer owns or operates Macquarie Shopping Centre and does not sell electricity at Corner Herring Road and Waterloo Road, North Ryde NSW 2113.

Following the process set out in section 10.1 of the AER Retail Exempt Selling Guideline, we are now seeking submissions from interested stakeholders on AMP Capital Investors Ltd’s application to cancel the exemption by Friday, 14 November 2025.

We will take into account submissions in deciding whether or not to cancel AMP Capital Investors Ltd’s exemption.
