Jemena – Accelerating smart meter deployment (ASMD) cost pass through application - 12 November 2025

On 3, 5 and 12 November 2025, Jemena submitted cost pass through applications seeking to recover costs it expects to incur as a result of the Australian Energy Market Operator's Market Interface Technology Enhancements (MITE), the Accelerating smart meter deployment rule change, and the October 2025 Victorian Emergency Backstop Mechanism 2 (VEBM 2) Ministerial Order.

 Jemena is proposing to recover incremental revenue of approximately: 

• $0.6 million in relation to MITE
• $0.6 million in relation to VEBM2
• $0.2 million in relation to the accelerating smart meter deployment rule change.
