The AER is consulting on preliminary positions on the Framework & Approach papers for Transgrid, ElectraNet and Murraylink, for the period 1 July 2028 to 30 June 2033 (2028–33).
The Framework and Approach sets out our approach to key elements of the upcoming revenue determinations and facilitates early public consultation before businesses prepare and submit their revenue proposals. These elements include:
- which incentive schemes will apply, for example, to service quality, improvements in network reliability or capital and operating expenditure
- our approach to setting efficient expenditure allowances and the establishment of the opening regulatory asset base.
Transgrid, ElectraNet and Murraylink will submit their regulatory proposals to the AER in January 2027.
