The AER has published an Overview of the 2019-20 National Gas Law (NGL) compliance process for service providers of covered gas transmission and distribution pipelines. The process aims to monitor the activities of pipeline operators to ensure that they fulfil the ring fencing requirements and other general duties under the National Gas Law (NGL) and National Gas Rules (NGR).
The AER assessed each report and found that for the 2019-20 reporting period APT Petroleum Pipelines was the only pipeline operator to have raised compliance issues.
In its 2019-20 report, APT Petroleum Pipelines reported two instances of non-compliance related to two confidentiality breaches. APT Petroleum Pipelines’ parent, APA Group, has confirmed the implementation of remedial action to minimise recurrence.
