The AER’s Compliance Bulletin on Short Term Gas Transaction Reporting provides AER guidance on how to report short term gas supply transactions and short term gas swap transactions under Part 18 of the National Gas Rules.
Reporting entities have contacted the AER regarding how to report short term gas transactions in bespoke contract circumstances.
We have observed common areas of participant uncertainty on how to report and so we recognise the benefit in publishing compliance guidance.
This compliance bulletin has been informed by consultation with industry stakeholders and the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO). It includes a chapter on frequently asked questions (FAQs) and incorporates FAQs formerly published on AEMO’s website.
