In 2025 we undertook a survey to measure executive, government, industry and consumer advocate stakeholders’ perceptions of the AER. The findings this year were very positive, showing improved ratings across all core metrics and most performance attributes. This includes the AER’s reputation improving from 65% to 73%, returning to similar scores seen in 2021 and 2022.

- considered improvement in stakeholder engagement
- increased collaboration and communication
- AER efforts to be more innovative
- decisions being more pragmatic and transparent, contributing to a sense of a more unified approach to sector challenges.
