On 19 September 2013, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) published its annual report for 2012–13. This is the first stand-alone annual report for the AER. It sets out the AER's activities in regulating the wholesale electricity market, setting prices for use of energy networks and protecting customers in the retail electricity and gas markets.
