In accordance with National Electricity Rules clause 5.22.13, the AER is required to publish a review report of the Australian Energy Market Operator’s Draft Integrated System Plan within one month of its publication.
AEMO published its Draft 2026 ISP on 10 December 2025.
Our review assesses the transparency and adequacy of AEMO’s explanations of how it derived key inputs and assumptions, and how key inputs and assumptions contributed to the outcomes in the Draft 2026 ISP.
This review is not intended to assess the outcomes of the Draft 2026 ISP, or the merits of AEMO’s decisions.
