The AER runs an expression of interest process for registration as a default and an additional Retailer of Last Resort (RoLR).

Additional RoLRs
We are accepting expressions of interest from retailers interested in taking on customers of a failed retailer in the case of a RoLR event in the ACT, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania (for electricity only) and Queensland.
Expressions of interest can be submitted at any time by emailing a completed form to AERRoLR
aer [dot] gov [dot] au (AERRoLR[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au) with ‘RoLR expression of interest’ in the subject line.
