Overview

Application

On 13 December 2024, AusNet Services submitted a cost pass through application seeking to recover the costs it has incurred as a result of the 13 February 2024 storm in Victoria. AusNet Services then submitted an updated application on 3 February 2025, correcting errors in the initial application. AusNet Services is proposing an increase in its revenue allowance of $2.3 million ($June 2022, smoothed) to be recovered over the remaining years of the 2022–27 regulatory period.

On 20 December 2024, the AER provided a notice to AusNet Services under clause 6A.7.3(n) of the NER stating that we required information from Energy Safe Victoria regarding the findings of its investigation into the Anakie tower collapse in order to make a determination on the cost pass through application. Energy Safe Victoria announced the findings of its investigation on 9 July 2025.
