Access arrangement 2026-31
APT Pipelines (NT) Pty Ltd (APTNT) (an APA subsidiary) owns and operates the Amadeus Gas Pipeline in the Northern Territory. The National Gas Law (NGL) and National Gas Rules (NGR) provide the regulatory framework governing gas pipelines. As with other scheme pipelines, we regulate APTNT's reference tariffs - and through this its revenue - under an approved access arrangement.
On 14 January 2026, APTNT submitted a revised access arrangement for the Amadeus Gas Pipeline for the period 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2031.
On 28 November 2025, we published our draft decision for the Amadeus Gas Pipeline 2026−31 access arrangement proposal.
Interested stakeholders are invited to make a submission on both our draft decision and APTNT’s revised proposal. Submissions will close on Friday, 13 February 2026 and can be emailed to aergasresets2026-31

An online public forum was scheduled for Monday 8 December 2025 for our 2026-31 gas access arrangement draft decisions on Evoenergy, AGN (SA) and Amadeus.
Given limited stakeholder interest, this public forum did not proceed as originally indicated.

Previous milestones - Amadeus Gas Pipeline's proposal
On 1 July 2025, we received a gas access arrangement proposal from Amadeus for its gas distribution network for the period 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2031.
Stakeholder submissions on Amadeus's proposal closed on 15 August 2025 and are available on our website.
On 28 November 2025, we published our draft decision for the Amadeus Gas Pipeline 2026−31 access arrangement proposal.
