On 3 September 2019, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved an electricity retailer authorisation application from Hanwha Energy Retail Australia Pty Ltd (Hanwha ERA) under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law).
Background
On 17 April 2019, the AER accepted an application from Hanwha ERA for an electricity retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law). Hanwha ERA is now authorised to retail electricity as and when the Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
The AER sought submissions from interested stakeholders. Consultation on Hanwha ERA's application closed on Friday 24 May 2019. No submissions were received.
