On 12 May 2021, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved a gas retailer authorisation application from Origin Energy Electricity Limited (OEEL) under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law). OEEL is now authorised to retail gas as and when the Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
