On 23 December 2021 the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved a gas retailer authorisation application from Perpetual Energy Pty Ltd (Perpetual Energy) under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law). Perpetual Energy is now authorised to retail gas as and when the Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
